She founded her research laboratory, Tepe Morality Lab, in 2022. Her research has been published in internationally prestigious journals such as the Journal of Personality and Psychology, Memory & Cognition, Emotion, and so on. Her research interests center around moral psychology, which is in touch with the psychology of religion and politics, cultural psychology, cognitive psychology of decision making and evolutionary psychology of social behaviour. She worked as an Assistant Professor at Bahcesehir University from 2019 to 2022, then joined the psychology team of MEF University at the beginning of the academic period of 2022-2023. She completed her PhD degree in social psychology at Istanbul University in 2019, in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin, where she carried out PhD studies with the support of the TUBITAK fellowship. She received her MA degree in social psychology in 2015. Undergraduate: Bogaziçi University, Psychology, 2003īeyza Tepe completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2012 at Bahcesehir University and then continued her academic work at Istanbul University. Master’s: Boğaziçi University, Social Psychology, 2005 Ph.D.: University of Kent, Social Psychology, 2010 Research Areas: Intergroup Relations Political Psychology Social Influences on Emotional Psychopathology Existential Psychology She has published research on ingroup projection, social memory, self-society moral discrepancies and ideology-related processing biases. Dr Peker conducts lab-based experimental research on intergroup relations, political psychology, and existential psychology. She worked as an Assistant Professor at Işık University from 2011 to 2015, then joined MEF University in 2015 to help found and chair the new Department of Psychology. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Kent before returning to Istanbul. degree at the University of Kent in 2010. She then went to the UK on a Leverhulme Trust Scholarship completing her Ph.D. Müjde Peker completed her BA in 2003, and MA in 2005 from Boğaziçi University.
